 Dear
Friends and Family of Growth in Faith,
It is my pleasure to invite you to join us at
the 31st annual
Growth in Faith retreat to be held April 11 & 12, 2008, at
the First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks in Largo, Florida. This
will be a great weekend of coming together to celebrate God’s unfailing
love, seek His will for your life, and surrender to His plan. You will
be inspired by gifted speakers and musicians. I have great confidence in
Him that this is going to be a life changing weekend filled with
numerous opportunities to help you learn from the past, live in the
present, and look to the future.
We are thrilled to have Dee Brestin as our speaker for 2008. Dee, an
author and Bible teacher, is best known for her book that has become a
classic, The Friendships of Women, and for her Bible study
series, A Woman's Journey. Her writings have won the Campus Life
Book of the Year, Billy Graham's Manuscript of the Year, and nominations
for gold Medallion Awards. She has been a guest speaker on "Focus of the
Family" and speaks frequently at women's conferences each year. Dee was
married for 39 years to Steve who went to be with the Lord in 2004 at
the age of 59 after battling colon cancer. Dee has 5 children, 4
grandchildren and lives in Nebraska.
Once again, back by popular request, there will be several
Mini-Sessions on topics of interest. Area Bible teachers and
speakers will be available to
teach you Biblical truth, and how to apply it to everyday life. A special
Mini-Session will be offered in Spanish.
Bridget Taylor, will be our featured soloist. Kenn Mann &
Carol Keener will lead us in
praise and worship as we enter into the Throne Room of God.
Bridget has been in Christian ministry for 20 years traveling as both a
music evangelist and a women's ministry speaker. She is a
singer/songwriter. Her latest radio single is "Created to Worship". In
January 2008 Bridget will release her newest CD entitled, "The River".
Bridget and her husband Don live in St. Simons, Georgia with their
daughters Hillary and Jill.
Journeying together down the path of life can be an exhilarating trip
as we hold on tightly to our Maker. God has created you for His plan
and purpose. Come join us at Growth in Faith and trust God to speak as
we listen…
God continues to use the ripple effect of our weekends together to
strengthen our faith walk. Your testimonials continually speak volumes
regarding how God is working in the lives of those who attend. Please pray that God
have His Hand of blessing on this retreat.
